The Light Itself

The Light Itself

My presonal ritual

The Vision-Serpent Ritual

The Vision Serpent is the name given to Kukulkan/Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent god of Mayan and Aztec mythology. This is how I call my personal Entheogenic Ritual. The reason why I chose this name is because in every single one of my rituals I see the way my reality is created. It takes the form of spiral of light creating visions. It twists around like a serpent and gives birth to phenomenon.

Please note that this is only an example of how I personally use the method presented in these pages. If you came straight to this page without reading the method, you are likely to get the wrong impression. For example, The Vision Serpent Ritual is religious in a sense, because I’m somewhat of a religious person, but there is nothing religious about the method. You can use the method to create your own framework of spiritual practice, religious or not. You are free to use it as it is, but you will get more out of the experience if you create your own, using this one only as a reference.

Bear in mind this is private. I’ve never shared it with anyone before. This is a picture of my naked soul. I decided to share it with you so that you can understand the method better.

The Vision-Serpent Ritual

[I light a candle and an incense stick.]

[I meditate for an hour.]

The Ritual of Consecration of the Space – Ritual of the 6 Directions

[I hold a ceremonial fan in my right hand]

[Facing East]
O Spirit of the East, Great Eagle
Also as you see all from above,
Also I see where Destiny takes me.
Teach me Wisdom.

[Wave the fan]

O Spirit of the South, Great Lion
Also as your heart is filled with temerity,
Also I face adversity without flinching.
Teach me Courage.

[Wave the fan]

[Facing West]
O Spirit of the West, Great Serpent
Also as you shed your skin,
Also I let go of my sinful past.
Teach me Self-Improvement.

[Wave the fan]

[Facing North]
O Spirit of the North, Great Bull
Also as you charge forward undeterred,
Also I take on the hardship of Life.
Teach me Determination.

[Wave the fan]

[Facing the Earth]
O Spirit of the Earth, Great Mother
Also as you give me life and feed me,
Also I foster all of your children.
Teach me Love.

[Wave the fan]

[Facing the Sky]
O Spirit of the Stars, Great Father
Also as you shine your Divine Light over me,
Also I seek to become the Light Itself.
Teach me the Truth.

[Wave the fan]

[End of Consecration Ritual]

[I place a “sacrifice” on the altar. The “sacrifice” is simply an object that I give away the time of the Ritual. I chose an object that represents the work I want to do today or an object that has a special significance to me.]

[I express out loud what I want to accomplish today and why I chose this “sacrifice”.]

[I repeat my prayer of intent a few times. I make sure I mean every word. I let every independent meaning light a spark inside me. I feel the effect the words have on me.]

[You can take the substance here while thinking the prayer of intent.]

[I meditate until I start to feel the effect. Then I follow the flow.]

[Once the effect has waned too low, I decide to close the ritual.]
