The Light Itself

The Light Itself

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide

LSD

Lysergic acid diethylamide commonly known as LSD or acid is a chemical substance. It was invented in the thirties as psychiatric medicine. It is illegal in most countries which is a shame because it’s a wonderful substance. On its own, it tends to give an experience that feels more synthetic which is incredible given that it is made in laboratory. It tends to show neon lights of colors spanning the full spectrum and it can give a metallic sensation or visions of shining objects. LSD visions usually center around the nature of reality and your place in the universe. It can peak with a strong burst of overwhelming emotions the like of which don’t seme to exist in “the real world”. It can lead to a point where you understand why you are here and your place in this world is clearer than ever. In that moment, you see yourself as the most beautiful thing. It can be a disarming and humbling moment that you will anticipate.

LSD is taken as a small blotter of paper soaked with a very small amount of the substance, usually 100-150µg. The effect lasts for about twelve hours. If you don’t like the synthetic feel it gives, there is a substance called harmala which is one of the two key ingredients of ayahuasca (more on ayahuasca shortly). The substance lowers the body’s resistance to some psychedelics giving them a stronger effect. It comes from a plant which tints the experience with a more earthy tone. Taking a small dose of harmala (see Disclaimer about harmala) containing plant like the Syrian rue one hour before taking LSD removes the synthetic connotation almost completely in my experience.

LSD can allow for a lot of control and it can elevate your spiritual work quite well.
